2008 has been a really exciting year for me! How exciting? Well, I have decided to list down the things I have done or accomplished:
1. I learnt how to speak Korean!
2. I got my driving licence within 3 months thanks to my instructor Michael.
3. I joined relief teaching, in which I have forged many friendships with people.
4. My A-level results were better than I expected, much thanks to the Big Guy Above - GOD!
5. I learned how to make decisions by applying to universities in Australia.
6. Fly to Melbourne alone and live there for 3 months.
Well, this year has certainly been an exiciting one for me!

My Spring Break
I thought I was going to die of boredom during the springbreak as most of my buddies went back to their motherland. The break started off with me mugging all the chapters of chemistry and biology that I was weak in. Then a sms was sent to me on thursday night asking me if I would like to explore Melbourne. I thought why not since it was th holidays. So that begin my jouney to the suburbs the following day. On that very day, the sun was shinning in the clear blue sky as I made my way down to Melbourne's Central Station. I was early so I went to Coles to get some Chocolates. Got Ferrero Roche since it was on sale=P...then it was off to the scienceworks and St. Kilda's beach. The scienceworks was like Singapore's Science Centre from the outside. However little did we aspect to see so many vertically challenged young children running about and screaming their heads off. The exhibits there were quite interesting..for AU$6 to see how the machines in the household work is quite reasonable. Anyway, we left the suburbs and headed back to the city to catch a tram to St. Kilda. It took 30 minutes to get to the beach. The first thing Cindy did was to take a dip in the water. The water was cool and comfortable as the blazing sun shone highly above our heads. We played in the water for 2hours before heading to the nearby cakeshop to grab a bite.

Mid semester update

It's been a long time since I last touched this blog reason being, I've been busy preparing for the Mid semester test. I just took my Biology Mid-Semester test today and felt slightly discouraged after having a pathetic score of 19/25. I felt so sad...=( I expected more from myself. Haiz.. any way it's no use crying over spilled milk. Looking on the brightside, I'm finished with all my midsemester tests! Yays! So I can go back to my daily revision and prepare for the final exams! This time round I'm going to whack the exams REAL hard..9 weeks more to go and the whole semester will be over...then I can be back in Sinagpore for Christmas...I will be back on the 2nd of December for my parents anniversary=). Spring Break is drawing near but I will be a lonely because all my friends will be heading home for the 2 weeks, leaving me to appreciate the wonderful season of spring...ALONE! HAHAs... Well, I just thinking what can I do during the Spring Break? Maybe I head to the Melbourne Aquarium because is FREE or just walk along Lygon and Swanston street snapping the beautiful moments Mother Nature offers. Also, not forgetting to study... I'm missing my hamsters...oreo, princess, nibble, romeo, chip and angle..I miss cuddling them in my palms and watching their crazy enthics... these are some well taken shots of them : Enjoy!!

It's mid semester and I'm suprised that I've survivied 2 months alone in Melbourne...I've been a maid, a cook, a cleaner and a student all in one...I'm proud to say that Ienjoy doing housework! It's really rewarding to see the house neat, tidy and clean. It's not that time consuming as I only do housework every Friday. I bought Advocados this week and they are in season! It tastes sooo.. good that you can eat it on its own..

4 weeks and counting...
School's been Great for the past 3 weeks. I'm starting to enjoy the independent learning cultre here in Melbourne University. Biology Practical was great! I scored full marks for my extraction of DNA! My laboratory partner Matt was a little blur about the content but his really coperative when it comes to pair work. I will be making my own Aspirin on Wednesday during Chemistry Practical which sounds pretty cool. Also, I will be attending the overseas Christian Fellowship which is located on Swanston Street so most probably I'll be meeting Elaine for fish and chips before the service. Oh and this is what I ate for dinner: It's m
y own Fusilli Creation hahas:
I know it does not look that fantastic but it's able to keep me full for the night. =P
Mid-Semester tests are coming! Thank God that Dad sent my books this week. At least I've them to study for the test.
That's all for today. Got to finish revising Genetics and do my math assignment.
